Hello my name is Jennifer Giedd and I was born and raised here in Craig, Colorado. I have been dancing for over twenty years. Over the years I have danced with many different dance studios in both Craig and Steamboat Springs. I danced with Perry Mansfield School of Art for four years where I had the opportunity to take classes from teachers from all over the world including Julliard, England, and American Ballet Academy. I also spent a year traveling on Perry Mansfield traveling repertory group, traveling around the state of Colorado teaching the History of American Dance. I have also performed in the ballets Cinderella and The Nutcracker.

After High School I attended Western State college in Gunnison Colorado. While at Western I spent three years dancing on their dance team, and my last year there I was captain of the Western State dance team where I learned how to run a dance program, choreograph dances, and run practices. After returning to Craig, I worked for the local school district. I realized there was a lack of dance opportunity in this community, and so, I started the Just Dance program.

The Just Dance program has been running for three years now and offers dance to about 100 dancers in this community. My main goal with this program is to teach the fundamentals of dance in a positive, fun environment. Dance is something that I love to do, it is a great way to express yourself. I help these students to enjoy dance while learning basic dance instruction.
